Serenity Counseling & Resource Center, Inc. conducts Juvenile Placement Evaluations. A Juvenile Placement Evaluation is a comprehensive clinical approach to assess a juvenile’s risk and safety factors, clinical treatment needs, support system, and placement recommendation (home, residential setting, etc.). A Juvenile Placement Evaluation may be beneficial to consider when the least restrictive environment (community setting) is recommended for a juvenile instead of a detention center or when the juvenile transitions from a detention center to the community. While a Juvenile Placement Evaluation may provide a clinical basis to support various community-based service recommendations and a placement level of care for a juvenile, legal determining factors rest with the juvenile court system and treatment provisions rest with the entity/insurance carrier that reviews service requests associated with the juvenile.
