Serenity Counseling & Resource Center, Inc. conducts Substance Use Evaluations for individuals seeking a substance use evaluation by choice or as mandated through the court. A Substance Use Evaluation is conducted to assess substance use aspects (drug and alcohol), identify the extent of usage, determine risk and safety factors, and identify individuals’ strengths, treatment willingness/compliance levels, prevention and relapse factors, and areas of needs.  A thorough evaluation is conducted to evaluate whether there are any co-occurring/co-morbidity conditions or concerns (physical or mental health), determine an individual’s substance use clinical factors, assess indicators of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, and determine appropriate clinical recommendations/rationales. During the Substance Use Evaluation process, evidence-based practice models, screening tools, clinical questionnaires, and therapeutic concepts are utilized to clinically determine an individual’s appropriate level of care, service, treatment, and pertinent support systems conducive for the individual.
